Chocolate Pots

Serves 5

Ingredients:

  • 80g slab dark chocolate
  • 70g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 50g dark cocoa
  • 70g butter
  • 70g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • Pinch of salt

Steps:

Put a pot on a medium heat and add the butter, sugar and chopped up chocolate and let everything melt together, keep stirring until it does. Once melted, add the vanilla essence and cocoa and remove from the heat. Stir until the cocoa is mixed in.

Separate the 3 eggs – whites from yolk.

When the chocolate mix has cooled slightly, add the egg yolks to it and give it a good whisk until everything is combined. Add in the sifted flour, baking powder and stir until everything is incorporated.

Whisk the egg whites until stiff, and then fold it into the chocolate mix.

Pour the mixture evenly into 5 greased ramekins and put it in a preheated oven on 180 degrees for 15 minutes.

The inside should be gooey and runny.

Serve with ice-cream or cream and enjoy this hot, chocolatey, indulgent goodness!
